I Have Android 4.4.4 Motorola Droid Ultra XT1080… How Can I Root It? Will Your Method Work On 4.4.4? Please Reply Soon 🙂

how did you root your droid ultra
RootJunky,
I rooted my droid max using your video tutorial but now I cant unlock the bootloader using the sunshine app. Is there any other way to install custom recovery on the droid maxx if the bootloader is locked? I mean like safestrap or philz?

Does this firmware work with droid maxx and ultra?
I am trying to root my droid maxx. The http://motofirmware.center/ web site is down.
yeah i know the site is down. it is being worked on now and hopefully improved once it is back up. that firmware is for the maxx not the ultra http://rootjunkysdl.com/?device=Droid%20Ultra&folder=Firmware
Junky,
I followed your root SU6-7 vid and it worked as promised. However, I am now having a problem uninstalling Xposed and need to remove some app process files from the system folder and can’t do that unless I am in a custom recovery which I now can’t install because I’m at 4.4.4 and/or Sunshine won’t work because there is Xposed files on the phone.
I have been searching for days for a way to get TWRP on this phone to no avail. It is not a dev device so no BL unlock from moto.
Any recommendations?
you cant get twrp unless you can unlock the bootloader. so you are stuck. you can firmware restore to remove xposed it you want to.
**UPDATE** 10/28/15
Though a pain, this can be fixed temporarily by doing the following:
1. Uninstall Xposed via installer app. (say no to reboot prompt)
2. Click Soft Reboot.. OK
3. Install Xposed via installer app. (say no to reboot prompt)
4. Click Soft Reboot.. OK
But this begs the question. If no system changes persist through a hard boot, how can any changes that I made cause this problem?
Also, there is something wrong with Bluetooth in this build. I say this because whenever my BT headphones disconnect or power off, it completely locks up the phone. This forces me to reboot by holding the power button down for roughly 10 seconds. This is not a deal breaker as I can just turn off BT on the phone when done using it.
I don’t know if this is in the XDA post, but I’ll post it there just in case.
Any advice to root 4.4.4 su6/7.2 Motorola Droid Ultra xt1080?
