I followed your steps exactly and ran into the following that after I clicked on the zip file this message came up that it

Help!!!!!!!
Hi. I have a Kindle Fire HDX 3rd Generation running 4.5.5.3. I’d like to root it but see that Tower Root won’t work on that version. KingRoot seems like an alternative but from comments on other sites, may not be the best option. Will RootJunky’s tool to root the Kindle Fire HD work on this version of the HDX? Thanks.
I hope you can crack the deal with Kindle Fire 8 HD (7.gen) and FireOS 5.4.0.1.
So we can get root on the bastard 🙂
Thanks for the good work.
Shared in Google plus. still can’t see the content. What up?
