  2. Hi, I used your videos to install CM 12 on my Kindle Fire HD 7. It works so well!!! Question for you is about upgrading to CM 13. My Kindle is the “Soho” version and I’m not seeing much about CM 13 on that. Now that I installed a custom ROM does it matter if I grab the Tate or Soho version?

    Thanks!

  3. Ugh, I’m the worst. Just bricked the Kindle Fire HD 7″ (2013) 3rd Generation by trying to Debloat the apps which constantly were popping up in the background and crashing Star Wars Heroes two-three times per hour. I was side-loading those apps using “Amazon Fire Tablet Tool” from here at Rootjunky.com

Copied the files over using my regular plain old (NOT fastboot) USB cable and things sort of worked for the past month, downloading various APKs and installing from my Windows 10 Pro desktop pc. But now i’m dead in the water. Tried pressing and holding power & volume for 30-45 seconds to force a reset, but didn’t seem to cure the issue. Still stuck.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

  4. I was wondering how to use the first aide while using the Ubuntu live usb boot, and was wondering if there is a fastboot driver for the tate-PVT-08 device instead of kindle fire so that you could get the fast boot to work to get it at least to where it could be seen to get it booting on it’s own. Trying to get the drivers to be seen in windows 7 (ADB) is getting to be a pain in the (***) if you know what I mean. Why has nobody ever done an edit on the ADB and the Fastboot drivers by now since the problem still happens? Any and all help would be appreciated. I’m new on trying to use Ubuntu OS , so I don’t know the ins and outs.
    Thanks

  5. Think I have followed directions but nothing happens when I try to download the apps. Just get a blank screen with cursor in upper left corner.
