How to Install Full Firmware to restore or unbrick your phone

  1. Format your phone’s external SD Card in FAT32 filesystem and make sure at least 2GB of free space is available.
  2. Extract “Update.app” file from the firmware package you downloaded.
  3. Copy this Update.app to the “dload” folder in the external SD card.
  4. Turn off your phone and insert the SD Card.
  5. Boot into SD upgrade mode by holding Vol Up + Vol Down + Power button at the same time till you see some text on the display.
  6. Wait for your device to flash the package. It usually takes up to 5 minutes.
  7. Finally, clear the cache and reboot your phone normally.

    i tried rooting my p8 lite using the video from rootjunky on youtube, after all the steps my phone restarted and the freezes on huawei logo, even if i try factory restore it doesnt work or turn on . please help

    i successfully updated my p8 lite from lollipop to marshal-mallow…thanks to you sir.
    now my next step to root that marshal-mallow and i tried lot of times as same procedure with lollipop but this time its not working and freeze on huawei icon…I cant do anything please help me what i do…….

    i have unlocked the bootloader, was rooted but i removed the root.
    any tips on updating it?
