How to unlock your bootloader and root the Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen
How to enter stock android recovery.
1. power off the device or if boot looping hold power button for 20 seconds to turn it off.
2. press and hold both volume up and down then hold power also for 3 seconds then release all three buttons
3. on this screen press volume down until you highlight recovery then press volume up to select
4. on the android guy screen again press and hold both volume buttons for 5 seconds then press power once and you will be in stock android recovery on the moto G
Steps for hacking and modding your Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen
1. unlock the bootloader
2. install a custom recovery like TWRP
3. install a custom rom or root the device with supersu
The phone has gone to factory reset without my doing. Looking at your video, there may have been the 2 button push process to reset (I guess). It knocks my corporate accounts out (this is a work phone). This is the 3rd time this has happened. The other 2 times was the old Moto X. Any explanation?

I tried rooting my moto g 2nd gen XT1064 Lollipop (bootloader already unlocked), following your presentation.
When clicked on superSU, popup says: There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem! If you just upgraded to Android 4.3, you need to manually re-root – consult the relevant forums for your device!
Could you please help me out what went wrong, any thoughts, guidance is very appreicated.

yes if i get some time i am really busy with all the new nexus devices out this month
i tried in reverse way and i entered boot loader step by pressing volume+power buttons by some time and after that then copying the img file as you showm it says that failedddd… plzz help me get rid of this

How can i flash 21.11.17 US Retail firmware on my Consumer Cellular which came with higher firmware 21.11.24?
This is a case of downgrade. If i try mfastboot steps, i get System Downgrade errors and firmware flash is unsuccessful.
Anyhelp in this regard will be helpful.

you can only downgrade if you have a unlocked bootloader. since you dont then the firmware flash fails once it checks your android version / build number
